This is our fifth year sponsoring the annual Pinellas Park Firefighter’s ChiliBlaze benefiting the Muscular Dystrophy
Association on March 18th, 2016.
Pete Barrett, Franchise Owner of Shop 380 34th Street North in St. Pete and Larry Hudson an automotive technician at the same shop are excited to compete against 50+ Chili Teams to be named the 2016 Chili Grand Champion.
Chef Pete will cook up a big pot of his Delectable Deer Chili and Chef Larry’s Lip-Smacking Alligator Chili is always a huge hit with true chili connoisseurs. “We just love the opportunity to support such a worthwhile cause. And Larry and I both really enjoy cooking our chili and competing against each other. Sure there’s a big overall winner but we count votes at our table and whoever wins has bragging rights for the next year,” Pete said.
The event is free and includes live entertainment, crafts and vendor displays, and fireworks to end the evening. Armbands are $10 to enjoy endless chili tastings.
Pinellas Park Firefighters host the event. The money collected from food, beer and armband sales is earmarked by the MDA to benefit local Tampa Bay kids living with Muscular Dystrophy sending them to summer camp, providing supplies and necessary medical equipment to their families and helping them achieve a higher quality of life.
